Taisha Caldwell-Harvey, PhD

Mental Health Policy Analyst
Dr. Caldwell-Harvey received a BA from Spelman College, and a MA and PhD in Counseling Psychology from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. In addition to operating her own private practice, she serves as the Mental Health Policy Analyst for the University of California Office of the President. Notably, she managed the 7.8 million dollar mental health grant which was awarded to the 10 campus system in 2011 by the California Mental Health Services Authority. Currently, she coordinates collaborative efforts across all health and wellness departments at UC and staffs a mental health oversight committee of counseling center directors, vice chancellors, faculty, and student health administrators whose primary goal is to advance the state of mental health across the UC system. Taisha’s research and consultation experience include social justice issues with a focus on non-traditional measures of academic achievement and promoting a culture of wellness for African American professionals.
