Kristin Nelson is a Student Engagement Manager for the Wellness Program Initiative at Napa Valley Unified School District. Kristin holds a Master in Social Welfare and Master in Public Health degrees from UC Berkeley. Using an MTSS/PBIS framework, Kristin has over 10 years of experience providing and coordinating school based mental health and behavioral supports in elementary, middle and high school settings in San Francisco Unified and Napa Valley Unified. Direct services she has provided include 1:1 and group counseling, case management, crisis response and program coordination for Tier 2 interventions (Check In Check Out and Mentoring), Restorative Practices, and professional development.
