Overview:
This presentation will cover Trauma and its impact on brain development, achievement, attendance and social relationships. This workshop will discuss best practices in creating Trauma-Informed Districts, Trauma-Informed Schools as well as Trauma-Informed Classrooms. Attendants will leave with general knowledge in building a district wide program all the way to managing trauma within the classroom.
Learning Objectives:
1. To learn the physiological factors involved in trauma.
2. To learn trauma's direct impact on student achievement, attendance and social relationships.
3. To learn best practices in developing trauma-informed districts, schools and classrooms.
