This interactive workshop seeks to challenge and leverage the experience of educators by examining the social purposes of schooling and providing theoretical and practical methods of transforming schools and outcomes for students and families using culturally and linguistically relevant, trauma-informed strategies for healing, inclusion, and Hip Hop. Participants will explore mindfulness and the use of HipHop based counter story telling and narrative development through participatory/interactive workshop activities and demonstrations.
